How We Think

The Gospel changes everything: We are people who are completely deconstructed and renewed by the story and work of Jesus.

The journey is pursued together: We are a group of Christians who welcome the skeptical, the agnostic, and the curious. We seek to be humble because we are renewed only by the mercy of God, and not because of anything that we ourselves have done.

All things belong to God: God is the creator of all things. We celebrate the arts, music, sexuality, literature, and nature and seek to serve God with all our gifts and abilities. All of these things are often exploited and used selfishly, and yet all can be used to love God and love people and serve effectively in this world. Therefore, we seek to do all things with excellence for God’s pleasure.

We love Philadelphia: We love this city and constantly ask ourselves — “What does it mean to live a life of love here and now as a community?” We promote opportunities to serve and help.

We dream: We don’t just love Philadelphia and Philadelphians for what they are now, but hope to be a part of what this city could become.

Home meetings provide an opportunity to get to know, walk with and support each other. Here we learn about the Bible and the Christian faith, pray together, and wrestle with some of the questions that we all have. All our home meetings will re-launch for the fall at the church on Wednesday 9/15. All are welcome! Regular home meetings will commence the following week – locations are posted below.
