CARE TEAM

07.09.09

Meeting needs in Community.
Our Care Team is made up of deacons and volunteers who go through a 6-month training program. They work in pairs to respond to requests for help from people inside and outside of the liberti community. The Care team responds to requests for help, including help with: Housing/Rent, Utilities (heat, water, electricity), Food, Medical attention, Insurance (within limits), Transportation (within limits), Counseling (1:1 lay counseling) and Childcare. Assistance for these last 3 items must be exhausted first within the Home Meeting before individuals within the liberti community approach the Care Team.

The Care Team Help Line is 1-800-871-9012, x451810
or email liberti.careteam@gmail.com
This Help Line is monitored by a Care Team volunteer and checked every 24 hours. Once someone leaves a confidential request for help, the Care Team member will walk them through a screening process to help ascertain how the Care Team can best provide help. The entire process is confidential, and will take a minimum of 2 weeks.

Home meetings provide an opportunity to get to know, walk with and support each other. Here we learn about the Bible and the Christian faith, pray together, and wrestle with some of the questions that we all have. All our home meetings will re-launch for the fall at the church on Wednesday 9/15. All are welcome! Regular home meetings will commence the following week – locations are posted below.
